What I Learned from the Spirit Quest Course

I really enjoyed all of the discourses. They were filled with great information. Much of it was a review for me as I study with a gifted psychic healer who graduated from the Berkeley Psychic Institute in the late 1980s. We are very good friends and discuss this all of the time.

It was wonderful to get reminded about the grounding cord and the golden sun. I am back doing that process every day - many times a day. I teach people that in my private practice and lead it in my church, The Sanctuary for Mindful Living. We meet on Saturdays and do a 45 minute meditation.

I also really love the roses. I now create and destroy roses many times a day and am more diligent about cleaning out my space.

I just reread the goals that I wrote the first week. I can see that they are coming into reality as things continue to come to consciousness so that I am making the changes that I want in my life. One of my big ones was “I do my work as a minister” and “I have a church and am supported by the church.” Last Saturday, I realized that my church is now in form. I have a congregation of about 15 people who come regularly and feel that this is their church. Now I will do the work to set it up as church with the State and the Federal Governments.

Other goals have been around improving my relationship with my husband of 35 years. Our relationship is growing in so many ways and deeper that I even thought possible. I know that studying the lessons each week has made a difference.

The week you discussed Pictures brought me an insight that made a huge difference. One of my friends is really hard to understand and is constantly saying that I am not understanding what she is saying. Now I realize that it is because her pictures do not match her words, so it is really confusing. I loved reading about that and getting clear.

Spirit Quest

First, let me start by saying that I have been enlightened by this course. The topics are genuine and always cause me to ponder, wonder and apply to my life.  I have been though many changes over the last several years, studying theology, alternative medicine practices and increasing my self-awareness. All of these have formed a new way of looking at issues that I have and that others have. Looking out from this body from the Spirit and Soul, I see the need in others, to have a Path to follow.

To understand that people can make the choice to heal themselves, to manifest the need that this life requires. Through this course, I have identified myself, my Spirit. I once had a huge void inside, in my heart. I did not understand the void, only to know that I felt I was missing something in my life. Purpose?  Why am I (we) here?  What was causing the weight in my heart? Coincidence? Things happen for a reason. My hip required an adjustment. I asked around to see who knew a great chiropractor.  I was lead to an office that was along my drive home. Upon arriving, to do the new patient paperwork, I was sent to a room to wait.

When the door opened and the Doctor came in, all she could say was, “Wow, you’ve got a huge Aura!" I quickly responded by, “My name is John, my color is blue!” “I’m Dr. Lisa, and my color is Green. I’m a healer” she piped back. “You can do anything you need to for my health”, I offered. From then on, Dr. Lisa introduced me to energy working people, self-healing classes, meditation, crystal energy and more. I have pursued energy work very passionately. I am a study of Reiki, and the Chakras and other modalities. During a self-healing exercise years ago, Soul Fragmentation Retrieval, I became incredibly aware. I have become very empathic, Clairsentient and have become a Medical Intuitive. I provide Spiritual Healing services and body scans. I see Auras around people and have regarded this as a measure of one’s Spirituality, and is very accurate. I have no fear when it comes to the Spirit.

When I see an Aura, I immediately comment to that person how gorgeous it is, then go into the meaning their Aura. Often, I sense the level of energy their chakras carry, connect to their Spirit and scan their physical body to identify problems they carry by the imbalance in the Aura field. People need to be aware of the great experiences that can be available to them, just by asking.I continue to have great experiences.

My Soul is at peace with my Path. I am continually amazed at the information provided to us and am recognizing more ways the messages come to us. We all need to listen with our Heart. This is where I carry my Spirit. Filling the void I once had. Lighting my Path.When you look at issues from the Soul’s perspective, the real ‘Why’ comes out. Only Truth. Letting go of the Ego is the healing we all need. My roses are in bloom!If only all could see their Spirit.

Spirit Quest Completion Essay

Since the last chapter of Spirit Quest arrived I have been going over all the chapters again to insure I have not missed any important information or something that would continue to change the course of my thinking and life. I do miss receiving the lessons since the end of the thirty weeks. The time has moved by so quickly that I had not realized the course had been completed when I received the final chapter.

When I first started this course I was very skeptical of the information being given. I decided that it was time to try something new in my life so started practicing each of the lessons. There were some ups and downs during the time I was receiving the lessons. At first I didn’t see a change in my thinking or attitude but gradually the change came about without my realizing what was transpiring. I found that I was stronger and was standing up for my rights without noticing. People started respecting me and things were going my way in a positive manner. Without being pushy or brash I was starting to get respect.

In the last few weeks I have changed employment and had some up and down experiences with equipment glitches, training, and a slow start. I put on an extra push of grounding, the Golden Sun, use of roses to clean up areas of my thinking, destroying roses, and sending golden roses to the training staff that didn’t feel I had what it took at my advanced age to complete the training. I was graduated with my class but it was thought I would not stay on the job or make the cut in the ninety days of probation. This week I was number one on my new team of four new associates and twelve seasoned associates and was earning respect from my peers and the supervisory staff. I have some way to go to the ninety day cut off but this is an excellent start.

Each day I ground myself at my desk, start the day with lots of clearing of “old thoughts” and fill my space with golden sun. I use many roses for finding my way, getting things cleaned out, destroying negative things and thoughts, surrounding my area, and to send to people with “hello” or just as a gift of thought. I have a stressful job and deal with difficult people for ten hours a day. The callers are concerned about their finances and want me to give them the ability to handle their money problems when they make mistakes. I find I care about them but am able to do the job without being upset and taking things personally. Before the course I would not have been able to do this at all.

My life has greatly improved over the last thirty some weeks and my change in attitude with the thought “In my world” this will or will not happen has been a definite plus.

I will continue the practice presented to me and will miss a new chapter each week now that I have completed the course. My favorite tool now is the rose. It is so easy for me even while dealing with a caller to create a rose to send to them or to surround my space with a positive field.

The miracles in my life since I started the course are many. The new job, new thought patterns, new me. I am a completely new person in many respects. Not pushy but able to get what I deserve and what is wanted for me to have.

Each day I repeat “You are a perfect being. God loves you. You were created in perfection, by perfection, for perfection. Your success is guaranteed.” Each day I say this the feeling that everything will be done properly and to my advantage is stronger. I am so thankful that I took the class.

The class was well written and presented in an easy to use and understandable manner. I would love to see a Spirit Quest II to go forward with the training. The only thing I found that would have made the class and information easier would have been if the format of the material had been easier to print. Many of the words on the borders were cut off and some of the early chapters on the computer screen were missing. Later chapters were fine.

I am on the road to being a completely new person and I am enjoying every minute of this new life! I am so grateful for the Spirit Quest course.

Spirit Quest Course Essay

The first notable thing about the course is its down-to-earth and light tone. This was a welcome change from my law studies! Moreover, as each lesson is the right length, it makes for an easy and enjoyable read and leaves sufficient time for practice.

The course taught a number of useful and simplistic life principles, such as the need to take charge of one’s own life, the importance to forgive, that creating and destroying are only two sides of the same coin -- that neither of the two is inherently bad.  I was reminded of the power of letting go, the risks of spiritual competition, the power of affirmations and speaking in the positive, and asking the right questions, just to name a few.

I particularly appreciated the strong affirmatives of some of the lessons. You always have a choice. Trying is not enough to bring true results. You can’t change what you don’t own, but you should own what’s yours. The passages on the spiritual path and the law of karma closely matched my personal beliefs.

When I read the life principles explained in the course, I felt either in total agreement, or that I knew them deep within and just did not realize it up to then. These principles are easy to apply in one’s daily life and can improve quickly relationships and the way one sees himself.

One point for which I disagreed with the course was that the author seems to consider that the true nature of humans is their spirit, and that they merely inhabit a body. Although I do agree that the spirit is what survives death and later reincarnates, I think that the body is more than a temporary housing. While in the body, we are both spirit and body, mind and matter, both imbued with a divine spark.

The meditation techniques taught in the course are simple to use, especially when you are good at visualization. They are very relaxing and empowering, and also fun to use. The center of my head, grounding cords, golden suns, working with energy, creating and destroying rose, chakras… are now well-known. I initially had a few questions about the reason why we should use roses and not something else, but I quickly realized that I had come to be accustomed to the image and that it was effective.

I personally found running my energies slightly more difficult, but by coincidence I had been practicing breathing techniques that used a similar imagery with my fitness coach at about the same time, and the combination of both helped improve results.

These were enjoyable eight months, and I am pretty sure that the rest of my life will be likewise.
