Spirit Quest Essay
Metaphysics - Miracles
This has been an interesting and inspirational course and I am saddened to see it end. I found it thought provoking and very helpful in putting things into "proper" perspective. It not only clears up some of the unclear aspects of Life, it also makes Life itself much more interesting. I have always believed that "you always are where you should be", or, as stated in the course, "Each person is learning what they need to learn to skip down their spiritual path.".
I do not necessarily believe in destiny, as we all have choices. I do believe however, that the lessons we need to learn are "chosen" according to the choices we each make. Each choice puts us on a specific path that leads us to where we need to go and teaches us what we need to learn. We are ultimately responsible for the choices we make and the effectiveness of the accompanying lessons. If we "don't get it" or for some reason choose not to learn the "lessons", we simply put it aside until the opportunity presents itself again (and again, ...) until the lesson has been learned. Some call this Karma, some call it Cosmic Justice, but whatever name we give it, it is there for all of us and that is great! Without these lessons, we could never grow. We could not even be the kind of beings that we have evolved into. We would likely still be in the trees, avoiding predators instead of out-thinking them. Yes, I also believe that evolution has lots of room in a spiritual existence, but that's another topic.
Humans invent. We find explanations to things which are unexplainable. We imagine. We have done it so many times and for so long that we have become experts at it. We have learned to live more inside our heads than outside. We have a Love for song and story telling. We want to believe. Because we have developed this way, things like creating and destroying, golden suns, and grounding make perfect sense to us. After imagining such wonders, who wouldn't want to create them?
Most people think that the "real" world and imagination are two separate and distinctive things. In fact, reality is first created in our own minds. Reality is our imagination, not the other way around. So if you're discussing the wonderful things you learned in this course with someone and they simply laugh it off and tell you it's "just your imagination", don't get upset. Be thankful that you have learned what you needed to learn and they are on their own path, learning their own lessons.
